My Review

I've had the service for 3 days now with pretty good success.

I'm very pleased with modem so far. It claims it's indoor/outdoor and only has the single ethernet cable coming out of it. No power cord, since the device operates on "POE" (or power over ethernet, so 1 cord carries both the power and data)

The closest 'wifi node' is about 1.5 blocks away. As a result the only location in my house the I could get a full signal is the upstairs bathroom.

So I've attached the modem to the bathroom window from the exterior of the house for now. I ran a long ethernet cable I had down the house and through the door to where my router is.

At three days I get pretty consistent 5mbps down and just under 1mbps up. Now I'll figure out a little more permanent location for the modem, likely outside. Now I can finally get away from comcast!!

Whay kind of home do you live in?

Single family home
