Want a Minnesota-grown Christmas tree? And the pride that you chose it, cut it down, and brought it home yourself? Local Christmas tree farms in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Twin Cities metro area grow trees for you to cut yourself, or pick out a fresh-cut tree for the holidays.

Most Christmas tree farms are open on weekends between Thanksgiving and Christmas, but weather, demand, and other factors can affect opening hours and availability of trees, so call the farm before you travel.

Rum River, northwest of the Twin Cities has the larger selection of trees, and Hampton Hills is a little closer to the Metro area, especially for those in the southern suburbs. Both farms are open daily to cut your own tree, or pick a pre-cut tree, from Thanksgiving until Christmas.
