Guide Review - Bookstore

Let's get this out of the way. Amazon Bookstore Cooperative is not related to Amazon.com, and pre-dates the online retailer by over twenty years. This Amazon Bookstore is named for the legendary female warriors.

Amazon Bookstore Cooperative is a worker-owned feminist bookstore in southeast Minneapolis. The store is warm, bright and packed with thousands of books for, by, and about women. There is also a large children's section, and art, jewelery and handcrafts made by local women artists.

The bookstore hosts book clubs, literary events, performances, readings and concerts, art receptions, and seminars about women's issues.
