City Solve, June 25
An Amazing Race style run around Minneapolis for teams of two.
Warrior Dash, July 23
A mud run with obstacles on the way. And, all the entrants get a warrior helmet, and beer and bands at the afterparty.
The Urban Assault Ride, July 31
Would rather ride your bike? Teams of two face challenges, clues to solve and are rewarded by a big beer fueled afterparty in this pedal-powed race around Minneapolis. Highly recommended.
Muddy Buddy, August 28
Teams of two compete in the Muddy Buddy race, which requires running and cycling in relay, and a big mud pit on the 6 mile course.
The Original Mud Run, September 10
This event benefits Multiple Sclerosis research. Held at Trollhaugen Ski Resort in Dresser, WI, about an hour outside the Twin Cities.
Oyster Urban Adventure Race, September TBD
New to Minneapolis, this race requires running, cycling, paddling, and the high probability of getting wet. Racers have to be in teams of at least 3.
Tough Mudder, Minneapolis Date TBD
Billed as more serious than your average mud run, this race is between 7 and12 miles long and has 17 military-style obstacles. A significan percentage of entrants don't finish the course - this is one race you'll need to put in some training for.
The Great Urban Race, July 30
In the style of the TV show The Amazing Race, this event has running, public transit, challenges and problem solving around Minneapolis. Teams of two compete in this race.
