If you've been riding east-west for the first time on the Midtown Greenway, you'd be forgiven for thinking that it wasn't very green. The eastern end of the Midtown Greenway runs through some industrial areas and over a major road, which is all more gray than green.

Just over the Martin Olav Sabo bridge, the trail starts to descend into the old railroad trench, and trees and greenery start to appear, and the trail gets a lot more attractive.
