The Midtown Greenway travels through Midtown Minneapolis, then into Uptown Minneapolis. There are convenient access points for attractions in Uptown Minneapolis.

This part of the trail has several community gardens growing flowers and vegetables.

The Midtown Greenway runs in between Lake of the Isles and Lake Calhoun. After passing the lakes, the Midtown Greenway intersects with the Kenilworth Trail, which runs past Cedar Lake, and connects to other trails that lead to downtown Minneapolis.

The Midtown Greenway's western end is at Chowen Avenue.
