The Midtown Greenway connects the Mississippi River in the east, follows Lake Street through Midtown and Uptown Minneapolis, runs between Lake Calhoun and Lake of the Isles, ending just past the intersection with the Kenilworth Trail, at Chowen Avenue.
This photo tour follows the Midtown Greenway from east to west, starting at the trail's entrance at the Mississippi River, at West River Parkway. Look for the ramp leading up to the railroad bridge, just past East 27th Street.
The Midtown Greenway is elevated or below street level for almost all it's length. To access the Midtown Greenway at other places in Minneapolis, look out for Midtown Greenway signs for access points.
