Guide Review - The Grand Ole Creamery Ice Cream Shop in St. Paul and Minneapolis
I recently moved within walking distance of the Grand Ole Creamery, and I'm getting fat. It's a good thing that I do walk there, as they sell the richest, creamiest ice cream in the Twin Cities. As their name suggests, the Grand Ole Creamery makes classics and simple combinations with premium ingredients. My favorite is the indulgent Raspberry White Chocolate Flake, and the Chocolate Fudge Brownie is a close and decadent second. Children love the Birthday Cake ice cream, and even I - not usually a fan of day-glow colored ice cream - could eat a whole bowl.
The cups are topped with a whopper - those malt, milk chocolate balls - and the cones have a whopper plugging the bottom, preventing melting ice cream dribbling on your shoes.
There is often a queue waiting for the store to open around noon. Please, Grand Ole Creamery, open just a little earlier? Those of use with little children who get up early will really appreciate it.
Grand Ole Creamery stays open late, and lines tend to form in the evenings. Grand Avenue has many excellent restaurants, but the best desert is to be found at the Grand Ole Creamery.
