Review of 112 Eatery Restaurant in downtown Minneapolis

By , About.com Guide

The 112 Eatery is a fine dining restaurant in downtown Minneapolis.

Business folks take their clients here - and it's very appropriate for a office lunch. Warehouse district staples: bare brick walls, original woodwork, and unobtrusive artwork make the scenery polished but not fussy. The style is efficient and elegant and I'd guess, has made many good impressions on visiting colleagues and prospective business partners.

Come evening, the lights are lower and the mood changes into relaxed, food-centric dining. Couples, and groups of friends enjoy their attentive, no-pressure service. For those who have a hard time choosing just one thing, the menu offers several smaller entrees, so pick a couple, and sample. You'd be hard-pressed to make a bad choice. Overhearing approving phrases from neighboring tables is always a good sign, and our table's choices confirmed that the quality of the menu is consistently excellent. You aren't paying for style here - you are paying for fine ingredients, and stellar preparation.

The bar is very pleasant to hang out at if you have to wait for a table, and there's no need to rush before the kitchen closes: 112 Eatery is open until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.

If you are planning a romantic getaway in downtown Minneapolis, if you have rooms at Graves 601, tickets for a show at the Orpheum, or box seats at Target Field - dinner at the 112 Eatery would be the perfect compliment.
