September 24 - 25, and weekends through Halloween: Hallowe'en Haunt at ValleySCARE! It's almost that time of year again... Halloween comes to Valleyfair with ghosts, ghouls and goblins to scare the pants off guests in the evening, and trick-or-treating for younger children during the day.
September 21 - 24: North Branch Fall Harvest Festival Arts and crafts, family activities, plus plenty of delicious food, at North Branch Central Park.
September 24: 15th Annual Franconia Arts & Music Festival a little way out of the metro area, but worth the trip. Franconia is home to an impressive sculpture garden, and this weekend, over 20 musical acts and other entertainment celebrate Franconia's artists and their work.
September 24: Fall Raptor Release a day of live music, children's activities, the opportunity to meet the Raptor Center's educational birds. Then, watch as rehabilitated raptors are returned to the wild. At the Carpenter St. Croix Valley Nature Center.
September 24 - 25: Afton Art in the Park Fine art and crafts at this art fair in the gorgeous St. Croix valley.
