August 27 - September 7: Minnesota State Fair "The Great Minnesota Get-Together" runs all this week, through Labor Day. You and the other 1.6 million annual visitors can enjoy the thrill rides, livestock, fifty types of food on sticks, big-name entertainment and fireworks every night.

September 5 - 7: The Minnesota Renaissance Festival opens it's doors again for the holiday weekend, and every weekend in September.

September 5 - 6: Minnetonka Orchard's Open House free admission to this family run apple farm, and free apple s'mores, music and hayrides this weekend.

September 5 until early November: Shafer Corn Maze four miles of paths in the shape of two eagles, plus a smaller maze for little children, plus a petting zoo and pumpkins for sale.

Until September 7: Como's Blooming Butterflies Your last chance to see the butterflies before the 3,000 square foot indoor butterfly garden closes for the summer at Como Zoo.

September 5 - September 7: Valleyfair's Labor Day Weekend Corn Feast Valleyfair and Green Giant have teamed up to give guests all the free corn on the cob they can eat all weekend. Who thinks it's a good idea to gorge yourself and then go on a thrill ride? Then Valleyfair is the place for you.
