The summer celebrations continue, full steam ahead, in the Twin Cities. Have you eaten any food from a stick yet? No? Why not?

The first week of July is dominated by Independence Day, July 4 celebrations, with parades, music, food, family fun, car shows, and of course, fireworks, in cities across the metro area.

The Aquatennial, the major summer festival in the Twin Cities, begins on July 17, until July 25. Minneapolis hosts water events, parades, fireworks and entertainment in the annual Aquatennial celebration.

Bastille Day, the French National Day, is July 14, and there's Bastille Day celebrations in Minneapolis for all French ex-pats and fans of French culture.

The City of Minneapolis and the City of St. Paul both continue their free summer outdoor concert series.
