May 26 - June 31 : Flint Hills International Children's Festival Children's performances at the Ordway Center, and free art activities at the World Party outside in Rice Park and Landmark Plaza in St. Paul introduce children to all kinds of performing arts.
June 7: Grand Old Day 2008 The 36th annual Grand Old Day has a parade, sporting events, international music from several local acts, dancing, children's activities, food, free beauty products and more. On St. Paul's Grand Avenue.
June 7: Rhubarb Festival the stuff summer is made of: esoteric local festivals, and good things to eat. Rhubarb delicacies will be served, there will be rhubarb displays, and rhubarb for sale today at Long Lake Regional Park in New Brighton.
June 1 until early September: Minneapolis Outdoor Concert Series over 220 concerts held at four Minneapolis parks. Just about every musical style is represented, many local artists and musicians are taking part, and every concert is free.
June 4 - June 7: 10-Minute Play Festival the Lakeshore Players premier ten comedies and dramas in White Bear Lake in this annual festival.
June 6 and throughout the summer: Minneapolis MOSAIC Festival for the Arts opens today. An evening of free performances in downtown Minneapolis kicks off the festival this evening. Festival events continue throughout the summer.
