June 2013 Events and Festivals in Minneapolis and St. Paul

June is my favorite month. The sun shines, but it's not too hot, and the bugs aren't too bad - yet! Summertime in the Twin Cities is always a lot of fun. We've got a year's worth of events to pack into half a year of summer, so there's lot of reasons to go out and enjoy the summer.

Cities and communities in the Twin Cities metro area hold local festivals this month, and big events like Grand Old Day, the Juneteeth Festival, the Twin Cities LGBT Pride Celebration and the City of Lakes Tri-Loppet all happen in June.

The City of Minneapolis and the City of St. Paul, and other cities around the Metro area, put on an summer outdoor concert series with concerts, plays, puppet shows, and family entertainments all through June.

Walking tours of Summit Avenue are a popular weekend event in the summer.
