Ski and snowboard areas usually have most or all of their runs open in December, and start giving ski and snowboard lessons.
The ice skating season is here too, with outdoor rinks open in downtown St. Paul, downtown Minneapolis, and in parks across the Twin Cities.
The historic Alexander Ramsey house is decorated for the season. Go back in time to a Victorian Christmas with a tour of the Alexander Ramsey house, open every day in December except Monday and Tuesday. And on selected days, Horse drawn carriage rides will take you and a companion for a trip around Rice Park.
The annual Holidazzle Parade of lights, costumes, music and Holiday festivities begins on November 27, and runs every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights through December 20.
Christmas is December 25.
The seven days of Kwanzaa begin December 26 through January 1.
