Amy Klobuchar is the senior United States Senator for Minnesota. She is a member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, an affiliate of the Democratic Part. She was elected to the Senate in 2006 and will be up for re-election in November 2012.
Al Franken is the junior United States Senator for Minnesota. After narrowly defeating Republican Norm Coleman in November 2008 Senate election by a handful of votes, recounts, lawsuits, more recounts and more lawsuits followed, until Coleman conceded and Franken took his seat in the US Senate eight months later, in July 2009. Al Franken's seat will be up for re-election in 2014.
