Minnesota's war dead, veterans, POW and MIA are memorialized in the grounds of the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul. There are memorials for every major conflict in US history. The Civil War, the Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War are remembered here. There are also memorials and markers for prisoners of war, soldiers missing in action, and for the surviving veterans.
As well as war memorials, there is the Peace Officer's Memorial, dedicated to fallen police officers of Minnesota.
The Roy Wilkins Memorial is dedicated to the civil rights activist Roy Wilkins.
The Minnesota Women Suffrage Memorial is dedicated to the Minnesota women who campaigned for the right to vote.
The Worker's Memorial is dedicated to Minnesota's workers.
