Here you have a choice of how to get back to base. You can either walk north on Western Avenue, it's four blocks back to Selby Avenue, and conveniently you'll be back in the middle of eat street. Choose somewhere to refuel, and head west on Selby back to your car.

Or, for a longer walk, and the only option for F Scott Fitzgerald fans, keep going on west on Summit Avenue. Four blocks down, at 599 Summit Avenue, is the rowhouse where author F Scott Fitzgerald lived for several years, and where he wrote his first novel. Houses similar to this one appear in many scenes in his novels.

Turn right on Dale Street, and walk five blocks north back to the starting point on Selby Avenue. On the way, the building at 25 Dale Street is the former St. Paul Academy, the private school Fitzgerald attended. There's a bronze statue of the author seated on the steps at the entrance.
