The next block has an eclectic mix of bars, the exclusive Amy Jane Bridal store, and just in case you felt the urge to throw some rocks, on the right is The St. Paul Curling Club headquarters, which has been in this location since 1912.

If you do indeed make it onto the ice, treat yourself to a beer afterwards in the ivy-covered Happy Gnome bar, which has a silly name but great beer, and really great brunch and dinner too.

A Piece of Cake at 485 Selby Avenue has an impressive and delicious selection of cakes, brownies and cookies if you would like a treat.
