Plenty of recent snow plus relatively mild weather mean that conditions are ideal for sledding! Many local hills have enough snow to make bumps and jumps and features for sleds to catch some air - check out the slopes if you have small children with you.
if you have bigger children or daredevil tots, St. Paul is the hillier of the Twin Cities with several city parks having sledding hills, official and unofficial. Minneapolis, in contrast, only designates three parks as having official hills (but that doesn't exactly stop sledders taking advantage of other parks with hills). Columbia Golf Course, Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis, Battle Creek Park in St. Paul, and College Park in St. Anthony Park, which is the home of "Suicide Hill".
