Blood donations traditionally run low in the winter months, so Memorial Blood Centers are tempting blood donors with the opportunity to win a vacation. If you donate blood at one of Memorial Blood Center's donation events in December, you could win one of 10 $500 travel vouchers.
Another reason to give blood: discount Water Park of America passes. There's a MBC blood donation event at the Water Park of America in Bloomington on December 21, and all donors will receive two half-price admission coupons for the Water Park of America, and a free hat too. Donors are asked to pre-register at the Memorial Blood Centers website - enter sponsor code 4022 to find the Water Park of America blood drive.
The Red Cross is also appealing for donors. While you can donate blood year-round, there are several special holiday blood donation events are scheduled all around the Twin Cities this month. Donating blood is the kind of gift-giving that really is special.
