The annual Cities 97 Sampler CD went on sale today - the much coveted disc has a limited edition of 33,000 and invariably sells out fast. Adele, Ray LaMontange, Amos Lee, Mumford and Sons, and David Gray are some of the artists who donated their songs for the CD. The CD is priced at $25.97 and all profits go to local charities. Why is it a limited edition, considering the demand? Since the artists donate their songs, their record labels limit the number of CDs that can be sold.
