Running out of fun things to do in the snow? Get three friends and race a mattress down a hill in aid of local non-profit Bridging. The annual Bed Race for Bridging will supply the mattress, your team supplies the $160 entrance fee and (optional) costumes and decorations.

Bridging is a local organization who help low-income families get furniture, bedding, kitchenware and other household supplies. 5000 children in the Twin Cities sleep on the floor for want of a mattress, and for families living in poverty, the cost of furniture can be an impossible expense.

The Subway Bed Race for Bridging is held at Buck Hill ski hill in Burnsville on Saturday March 5. More information at the Bed Race website.
