The Minnesota AFL-CIO is planning to rally at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul on Tuesday at 4 p.m. in support of Wisconsin union workers.
For the past several days, protests in Wisconsin have seen thousands of demonstrators on the streets of Madison and other cities. It's in response to new Republican Governor Scott Walker's proposed measures to reduce collective bargaining rights and benefits for public workers. The Governor says the cuts are necessary to balance Wisconsin's budget.
