See fire-breathing, winged, and animatronic sleds take to the slopes at Powderhorn Park in Minneapolis this Sunday. A carnival of custom artist-designed sled creations will be racing down the hill, sometimes successfully, sometimes sled carnage ensues.
Hot drinks and food accompany the spectacle, and guess what? You can make your own sled and join in too. There's a free art sled workshop at the Powderhorn Park community center gym on Saturday 29 January, between 11 am and 4 pm. Bring a plastic or wood sled to use as a base for your creation, if you have one.
The Art Sled Rally is free to attend, and free to take part in too. It all goes down at Powderhorn Park in Minneapolis on Sunday January 30, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.
