Minneapolis' Bell Museum of Natural History science discussion series, Cafe Scientific, has turned its mind to the BP's Deep Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

On Tuesday, September 21, the Bryant Lake Bowl hosts Cafe Scientifique: Oil Spill Ecology for the Bell Museum.

The Gulf of Mexico is home to one of the world's most sensitive ecosystems. Heading the discussion of the impact of oil on the gulf's ecology is Robert Twilley, a principal investigator with the National Center for Earth-Surface Dynamics.

The events starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5-$12 and are available at the door, online or by calling 612-825-8949.

Check out the Bell Museum's calendar for other upcoming Cafe Scientific events - one is held on the third Tuesday of every month.
