Hey, leadfoot? Watch it if you are driving in St. Paul or Edina. According to the National Motorists Association, St. Paul has the most speed traps of any city in Minnesota, and Edina has the most speed traps for Minnesota cities with a population under 100,000.
The National Motorists Association asks the public to report speed traps to their website, and other users can agree or disagree if the area is indeed a trap.
From that data, St. Paul has 113, Minneapolis has 74, and Edina has 34.
So St. Paul has more police working on traffic, St. Paul drivers speed more, or St. Paul's residents really like reporting perceived speed traps? Who knows. I can tell you that, of the articles on this site about contesting speeding tickets in Minneapolis, and in St. Paul, the St. Paul article gets way more traffic.
What to do if you get a speeding ticket in St. Paul and Ramsey County, and what you can do if you get a speeding ticket in Minneapolis and Hennepin County (that includes Edina).
