Dia de los Muertos - Day of the Dead in Minneapolis and St. Paul

Tuesday October 6, 2009

Dia de los Muertos is November 1 and 2.

While the two holidays are celebrated at the same time of the year, the Mexican Dia de los Muertos, and Halloween have markedly different origins and focus. Mexican community organizations, schools, galleries and museums are holding community celebrations, and candlelit processions for Dia de los Muertos, where the living celebrate and honor those who have died.
