It gets bigger and bloodier every year. Last year, thousands of zombies invaded Cedar-Riverside in the fourth annual Zombie Pub Crawl, and this year even more zombies are expected to creep, crawl, moan for brains, and drink their way around Minneapolis' bars - around 6,000, according to the Zombie Pub Crawl Facebook group.
Ever feel like getting dressed up to go out is tiresome? Bury an old outfit in the ground today, dig it up on Saturday, rip it up a little, throw on some fake blood and you are ready to hit the town. Zombie Pub Crawl mayhem officially starts at 4 p.m, on October 10, but the undead really start to come out after dark.
For more drunken shenanigans, the first Cross Crunk Bike Race hits Minneapolis, also on October 10. An off-road, on-road race around the trails and backroads of Minneapolis. Participants are expected to be crunk, and drunk is optionally but basically encouraged. Participate at your own risk by meeting and registering for the 5 p.m. race start at One on One bike shop in the Warehouse district.
