From historic Minneapolis landmarks to modern ones... the Lake Creature was one of the thousands of spectators to cheer on the marathoneers who ran the 26.2 mile course of the Twin Cities Marathon from the Metrodome in downtown Minneapolis to the Minnesota State Capitol in downtown St. Paul this Sunday.
The women's marathon champion was Ilsa Paulson with a time of 2:31:48, which qualifies her for the 2012 olympic trials. The fastest man was Jason Hartmann with a time of 2:12:16. Congratulations to the winners and to everyone who took part - just finishing the race is an incredible achievement.
