Need a treat that won't break the bank? Here's a couple of ideas for indulgences and evenings out in Minneapolis.

Acme Comedy Company in Minneapolis' Wearhouse District gives birthday boys and girls six free tickets to a show during their birthday month. Selected Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday shows are eligible for the offer. And if it's a month where none of your friends has a birthday, one night every month is Insider night, where a three course dinner, wine, and a comedy show is $19.99. Which night is it? You need to be an Acme Insider to find out, but all that takes is signing up to their free email list, and then you'll be emailed with the dates.

The W Hotel - Foshay Tower treats guests to a cocktail and a Danny Kemp manicure for $15 in the Living Room bar every Monday night. Walk-ins are welcome if they have time, but reservations are suggested for Manicures and Martini Mondays, by calling 612-597-2413

Punch Neapolitan Pizza, who have several locations across the metro area, treat their Twitter followers and Facebook fans to coupons and special offers. Become a follower or a fan, or sign up for Punch Pizza's email list to get coupons - past offers have been for free beer, free ice cream and deeply discounted pizza. This week, social networkers can get paninis for $2 at lunch time at select Punch Pizza locations with their internet coupons.

Great idea giving comedy night tickets out when it’s your birthday. Good example of comedy sponsorship, they may even decide to book a comedian on their own one day. I wonder if the Acme Comedy Company actually cater for corporate events? Im looking to find a company to cater for a small awards ceremony i’m organising.

If I wanted to book a comedian, how would I go about doing that? I figure there’s no better time than now to book one for a benefit I’m hosting soon.
