Crafting is hot in Minnesota. We love to craft, we love to buy handmade wares, and we love craft fairs. From traditional crafts, to ironic handmade versions of modern articles, and old things re-made or re-purposed into something new.

Focusing on modern, fun, cute, ironic and fashionable crafts, the No Coast Craft-O-Rama is an annual event at the Midtown Global Market in December. Last year over 10,000 people attended the fair. The 2009 No Coast Craft-O-Rama will be held on December 4 and 5 at the Midtown Global Market.

How do the organizers choose who will be selling their wares when Minnesota and the Midwest have so many talented crafters? Applications for the 2009 No Coast Craft-O-Rama are being accepted from now until August 31, and successful applicants will be notified by September 30. Competition is fierce, with three applicants for every vendor booth, so only those who stand out from the crowd will make it.

More information about No Coast Craft-O-Rama, and information for vendors at Crafters Local 612.
