Sarah Palin's $85,000 Minneapolis Shopping Spree
According to Politico.com, the Republican National Committee has spent more than $150,000 on clothing for Sarah Palin and her family since she was announced as the vice-presidential candidate in August.
The RNC's records document a couple of shopping trips in Minneapolis, including $75,062.63 spent at Neiman Marcus and $9,447.71 spent at Macy's around the time the Republican National Convention took over town in September.
Palin has been looking very chic with her now-signature look of tailored jackets, fitted skirts and often as not, killer heels, typified a couple of days ago at a rally in Pennsylvania in a cream jacket, black skirt and knee-high boots.
The voting public may expect it's politicians to look professional and groomed, not like they just crawled out of bed (or returned from a moose hunt), but is spending the kind of cash that would buy a single-family home in Minneapolis justified?
RNC spokeswoman Tracey Schmitt said that the clothes will have a second life after the election, saying that "it was always the intent that the clothing go to a charitable purpose after the campaign."

How much was spent on Biden and his hair plugs and plastic surgery. The infamous designer pant suits worn by Hilary Clinton retail at $6,000 each - she has them donated but imagine the bill that would rack up. Besides, the with the liberals screaming for economic stimulation, shouldn’t Hilary be buying the suits and not wearing them “for the designer.”
What’s the big deal? How much have the Obamas spent on their wardrobes, hair-dos, etc.????
The big deal, Shirlene, is that the Obamas are not spending thousands of dollars of the TAXPAYERS’ money on trivial and superfluous purchases. When they start spending OUR money, feel free to complain.
