Iron Pour, St. Paul, October 11

Wednesday October 8, 2008
There's more famous Iron Pours like the one at Franconia Scuplture Park, a couple of hours drive out of town, and the University of Minnesota Iron Pour, currently on hiatus, but right in town, this weekend, is the First Annual West Seventh Iron Pour, held in the old Schmidt Brewery in St. Paul.

Sand mold making for experience sculptors will take place all day on Friday 10, then as dusk falls on Saturday evening, the pyortechnics of the Iron Pour will begin at 7 p.m. The site will open at 5 p.m. on Saturday with live music and refreshments before the Iron Pour starts.

On Sunday morning, the sculptures will be polished and finished and displayed.
