AAAAAAAAAAAAGH!! ValleyScare is Open!

Monday September 29, 2008
The Valleyfair Haunt, ValleyScare, opened this weekend. There's low-scare activities for families and young children during the day, then the haunted houses open as soon as night falls.

Five haunted houses, two outdoor mazes, and a haunted cemetery filled with butchers, clowns, the undead, zombies, ghosts and pirates are open for business once darkness comes. Tip: scream at the ghouls and they'll come closer... and bring their friends!

Not all the rides and rollercoasters are open, but Wild Thing, Renegade and the Power Tower will be running throughout ValleyScare, together with selected other rides. And lines are usually much shorter especially in the first few days of ValleyScare. If you've only ever been on summer weekends and waited an hour for Wild Thing, come back for ValleyScare. By the end of the night the lines were all but gone. Riding the Wild Thing in an empty train in the middle of the night: now that's spooky.

ValleyScare is open Friday, Saturday until midnight, and Sunday evenings until 7 p.m., through November 1, plus selected other dates. Visit ValleyScare.com for more information.
