Great Urban Race: Twin Cities, September 27
If you missed out on the Urban Assault Ride on Sunday, there's another opportunity for a fun race around the Twin Cities this weekend.
On Saturday 27, the Great Urban Race comes to town. This one is very similar to The Amazing Race, with teams of two attempting to solve clues, take on challenges around a course that has to be completed on foot or by public transit.
The race promises to be physically and mentally challenging. It also requires style and photography skills, and possibly a strong stomach. Teams must also wear matching outfits - costumes are not required but are encouraged - and some of the challenges require teams to snap photos of themselves at various mystery locations in the Twin Cities, and there might be some eating odd food required.
The entry fees for the event get you race shirts, a donation to the Livestrong Foundation, and a good story to tell in the bar this Saturday night.
I think it's going to be a blast. More information at the Great Urban Race website.
