I was having breakfast with a gang of girlfriends in Uptown Minneapolis this Sunday morning... OK, it was more like brunch... OK, OK, it was more like breakfast food at lunchtime. But anyway, as we were eating, the skies opened and the rain poured down. And as the rain passed over, a chill breeze blew and we all shivered. And then of course it got back to standard issue hot and humid again - but for a second or two it was really good to feel cold.
By the way, we went to Barbette, who do a mean plate of fries (or frites, if you prefer), killer waffles and crepes, and I love the casual elegant decor. A very nice place to have breakfast on the morning after the night before.
