Dog Days of Summer: Paws on Grand, Saturday July 19

St. Paul's Grand Avenue businesses and the Animal Humane Society join up again for Paws on Grand, a day of pet-themed entertainment at stores and restaurants all along the avenue.

Bring Fido along to sample pet treats, shop sidewalk sales, dine, try out pet services, browse for a new toy, and have a photo taken.

Dogs and cats can get married at the Wedding Shoppe, the St. Paul City Ballet is holding auditions for a walk-on dog part in a studio performance, and there's treats, microchipping, and a Pet/Owner lookalike contest at Whole Foods.

Several Grand Avenue businesses will be donating a portion of the day's takings to the Animal Humane Society, and many stores will be allowing pets in for the day, some offering discounts for pet owners.
