Goodies at the Farmer's Market

Sunday June 15, 2008
The sumer growing season is really getting started in Minnesota, and the farmer's markets are full of wonderful produce at the moment. This morning, we headed to the St. Paul farmer's market in Lowertown, then home to make breakfast with armfuls of fresh herbs, eggs, brand new strawberries and freshly baked bread. We had a herb omelet, bread and honey, and strawberries for breakfast. It was delicious!

Asparagus, new potatoes, spinach, lettuce, rhubarb and peas are also in season right now. The farmer's markets also sell fresh coffee, plants and flowers, honey, crafts, and even cats are catered for with fresh catnip and cat grass.
