Do you want to help make St. Paul a better place? St. Paul's government wants to involve citizens at every level. At the city level, the mayor, Chris Coleman, is inviting citizens to volunteer to serve on committees, boards and commissions. The committees cover a wide range of topics, and they provide input for city policies and programs. View a list of committees seeking members on St. Paul's website.
At a neighborhood level, St. Paul's District Councils invite residents to serve on committees to address local issues, and to organize or simply be a member of a Block Club. Block Clubs are groups of neighbors who work together, socialize and address issues relevant to their street, such as crime, beautification, and traffic issues. Look out for your District Council's newsletter in your mailbox to find out what volunteer opportunities there are in your neighborhood, or visit their website. Here's a list of St. Paul's seventeen District Councils and links to their websites.
